IT Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and procure software licenses. Optimise software licenses to maximize utilization, reduce costs and eliminate redundancies.
• Software Inventory and documentation: Maintain a comprehensive inventory of software licenses. Keep accurate records of license details, purchase agreements, renewal dates and maintenance contracts.
• License Compliance - Track usage, lease, and follow up with stakeholders to understand the utilisation, either to purchase or check for removal of unauthorised software.
• Proven track record in project/program management.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with various stakeholders, including internal/external IT teams, legal team, contract management, IT Infra and application teams to implement best license practices and drive operational efficiency.
• Program/Project management.

Requirements:

• Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) / Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA).
• Post-Graduation: Master of Science (M. Sc. ) / Master of Technology (M. Tech) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
• Good understanding of Software Costing and negotiation, Software Development Life Cycle and application development concepts.
• Proven experience in continuous cost savings and OPEX cost reductions.
• Should be able to comfortably interact with technology teams on requirements and understanding.
• Good understanding of Software licensing models and contract terms to derive best value.
• Quick Learner with strong analytical skills.
• Experience in handling major OEMs in the enterprise IT landscape for license procurement and Optimization.
