Job description: About the Role  We are looking for a skilled Tester with strong experience in ETL testing, data validation, and database workflows . The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in manual testing , a deep understanding of software testing principles, and hands-on experience working with ETL processes, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports . Exposure to test automation is a plus but not a core requirement. 

Key Responsibilities  Develop and execute manual test cases based on requirements, data mappings, and system flows.  Perform ETL testing including:  Source-to-target mapping validation  Data transformation and data quality checks  Validation of SSIS workflows, jobs, and stored procedures  

Test SSRS reports for accuracy, layout, filters, and performance.  Conduct database testing using complex SQL queries for data verification.  Ensure comprehensive test coverage including functional, regression, smoke, and database testing .  Collaborating with developers, data engineers, BI teams, product owners, and QA leads to ensure end-to-end data quality .  Conduct root cause analysis and propose preventive measures for recurring issues.  Continuously evaluate and recommend tools, techniques, and improvements for ETL and data testing processes .  Participate in designing or supporting automated test scripts for ETL, web, or API testing if required.  Required Skills & Experience  4-8 years of experience in ETL testing and database testing.  Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.  Hands-on experience with SSIS (ETL packages) and SSRS (reporting) .  Understanding data warehousing concepts and ETL workflows.  Experience testing stored procedures, SQL jobs, and data integrations .  Familiarity with REST API testing (Postman, RestAssured, Karate).  Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Jenkins).  Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).  Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).  Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or API automation frameworks is a plus.  Soft Skills  Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities .  Excellent communication and collaboration skills .  Curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation .
