Instructional Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to design, develop, and evaluate engaging learning experiences for employees, customers, or learners. The ideal candidate combines strong instructional design principles with technical skills in e-learning authoring tools to create effective training programs across multiple formats (in-person, virtual, self-paced e-learning).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, videos, and assessments
• Conduct needs analysis and training needs assessments (TNA) in collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs)
• Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy, etc.) to create learning objectives and course structures
• Develop storyboards, scripts, and prototypes for e-learning content
• Build interactive e-learning courses using authoring tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, etc.)
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex information into clear, engaging learning content
• Manage content within Learning Management Systems (LMS); ensure SCORM/xAPI compliance
• Evaluate training effectiveness using Kirkpatrick's model or similar frameworks; iterate based on feedback and data
• Stay current with instructional design trends, adult learning theory, and emerging ed-tech tools
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Organizational Development, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in instructional design or curriculum development
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)
• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
• Experience with LMS platforms and SCORM/xAPI standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Certification in instructional design (e.g., CPLP, ATD certifications)
