Information Technology System Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Networking: Proficient in managing Cisco routers and switches, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Expertise in Fiber network management, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fibre optic infrastructure.

Knowledge of Local Interface Units (LIUs) and patch panels for efficient management of physical network connections.

Firewall Management:

Experience with FortiGate firewall administration, ensuring network security and access control.

Implementing and maintaining firewall policies to safeguard network infrastructure from unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Server & Hardware Maintenance:

Conducting basic hardware maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of servers and network equipment.

Monitoring server health, diagnosing hardware issues, and coordinating repairs or replacements as necessary.

Database Administration:

Administering Oracle ERP, MySQL, and SAP databases, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Monitoring database performance, optimizing queries, and implementing backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.

CCTV, Biometric, Access Control:

Administration of security systems such as CCTV cameras, biometric systems, and access control mechanisms.

Ensuring the security and proper functioning of surveillance systems to protect physical premises and assets.

Office 365 Administration:

Managing Office 365 user accounts, groups, and permissions to ensure proper access and security settings.

Configuring and troubleshooting email services, including Exchange Online, to maintain efficient communication within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience in IT infrastructure administration with a focus on networking, server maintenance, firewall management, database administration, and security systems.
