Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly accomplished HVAC Engineer with over 15 years of experience to lead the planning, design of large-scale HVAC systems across our landmark portfolio. You will leverage your extensive background working directly with a real estate developer to optimize system life-cycle costs, drive sustainability initiatives, and ensure seamless project execution from conception to handover.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering Management

• Lead the engineering, conceptualization, and value engineering of complex HVAC systems (Chilled Water Systems, VRF, DX, Ventilation, and Smoke Extraction).
• Establish strict engineering design guidelines and performance standards for high-rise residential, commercial office, and retail spaces.
• Oversee and review technical designs, schematics, and calculations provided by external MEP consultants to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Developer Operations & Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate closely with internal Architecture, Project Management, Procurement, and Cost Estimation teams to ensure seamless multi-disciplinary integration.
• Manage relations with external MEP consultants, contractors, and local authorities to secure necessary building compliance and approvals.
• Drive value-engineering workshops to optimize capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) without compromising quality.

Project Execution & Quality Assurance

• Conduct periodic site inspections to audit installation quality, resolve complex technical issues, and monitor progress against milestones.
• Supervise testing, adjusting, balancing (TAB), and final commissioning phases for complex HVAC infrastructure.
• Review contract documents, technical specifications, and tender documents to support the procurement team in vendor selection.

Sustainability & Innovation

• Integrate energy-efficient solutions and green building practices (e.g., LEED, IGBC, BREEAM) into all project designs.
• Evaluate emerging HVAC technologies, automation systems (BMS), and smart building features to keep projects ahead of market standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline from A-grade institute.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of robust experience in MEP/HVAC engineering, with a substantial portion spent working directly with a premium Real Estate Developer.
• Asset Expertise: Proven track record delivering high-rise residential towers, grade-A commercial office buildings, and large-scale retail malls.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of standards and codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, local building codes) and familiarity with BIM/AutoCAD workflows.
• Leadership: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and vendor management capabilities, with a proven ability to mentor junior engineers.
