Role Description The Housekeeping Staff role is a full-time, on-site position based at Summit Hotels & Resorts in Gangtok. The role involves cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to established standards of hygiene and presentation. Responsibilities include making beds, replenishing linen and amenities, dusting, vacuuming, and ensuring bathrooms and common spaces are sanitized and well-organized. Housekeeping Staff assist with laundry operations, handle guest requests promptly, and report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors. Team members are expected to follow safety and hygiene protocols, work closely with colleagues, and support a welcoming, guest-centered environment.
Qualifications

• Housekeeping and Laundry skills, with the ability to maintain cleanliness, order, and proper handling of linens and guest supplies.
• Customer Service and Communication skills to interact courteously with guests and coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Willingness to participate in Training and continuous learning to follow hotel procedures, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
• Prior experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or a related service role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights for extended periods, and to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and a positive, professional attitude toward guests and colleagues.
