Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Estimator to handle HVAC design, quantity take-offs and project costing for commercial, industrial and institutional projects.

The role will be responsible for converting project requirements and drawings into technically sound, commercially accurate and competitive HVAC proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Study HVAC drawings, BOQs, specifications and project requirements.
• Prepare HVAC layouts and basic system designs as required.
• Perform equipment selection and sizing for VRF, chillers and other HVAC systems.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs.
• Prepare material and equipment costing based on project requirements.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations.
• Prepare accurate project estimates and commercial quotations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, consultants, project teams and clients for technical clarifications.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions and potential cost risks before submitting quotations.
• Support tender submissions and technical/commercial negotiations.
• Maintain estimation formats, costing databases and supplier price records.
• Coordinate with the Projects team during project handover to ensure the estimated scope and costing are clearly communicated.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, especially VRF and Chiller systems.
• Good understanding of HVAC drawings, BOQs and specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Strong estimation, costing and quantity take-off skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
• Good knowledge of HVAC materials, equipment and market pricing.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial understanding.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Experience

5-10 years of relevant HVAC estimation/design experience preferred.

Experience in HVAC contracting, MEP companies or project-based organisations will be an advantage.
