Job Purpose:

To lead the planning, design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of organizational systems and technology solutions. The role is responsible for building and maintaining system architecture, delivering business automation requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing applications and platforms, and maintaining reliable, efficient, and user-friendly systems with minimum bugs, downtime, and operational disruptions.

The role also oversees system-related projects from planning through execution and closure, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time, within the required quality standards, and in alignment with business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Primary:

• Build, maintain, and continuously improve system architecture in alignment with business and technology requirements.
• Lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of organizational systems and applications.
• Define appropriate system solutions based on business needs, cost considerations, scalability, and integration requirements.
• Understand business automation requirements and deliver system solutions that support revenue growth, cost optimization, process improvement, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure systems are stable, reliable, user-friendly, and hassle-free, with minimum bugs, interruptions, and downtime.
• Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and deliverables.
• Allocate and manage project resources, including people, technology, equipment, and budgets.
• Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful and timely completion.
• Establish appropriate communication and reporting mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed about project progress.
• Monitor project flow, timelines, quality, and variances and provide real-time updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure that system and project deliverables meet defined quality, functionality, and business requirements.
• Evaluate completed projects against predefined objectives, measures, and expected outcomes.

2. Secondary:

• Recruit, interview, select, and manage project personnel or consultants in consultation with the appropriate managers.
• Manage project teams in accordance with organizational policies and practices.
• Ensure appropriate orientation and onboarding of project personnel.
• Maintain appropriate project documentation, records, files, and reports while ensuring confidentiality and security.
• Engage and coordinate with qualified external consultants or technology partners where required.
• Develop appropriate forms, documentation, and records to track system and project activities.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand requirements and facilitate system implementation.
• Prepare regular project and system performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for system optimization, process automation, and operational improvements.
• Support implementation, enhancement, integration, and upgrade of systems and applications.
• Ensure appropriate controls are in place to minimize system-related risks, errors, bugs, and downtime.

Qualification:

• University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA / PGDBA from a reputed business school or university is preferred.
• Scrum Master certification will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in systems, technology, project management, systems implementation, or related functions.
• Strong experience in planning, managing, and delivering technology/system projects.
• Experience in system architecture, application development, deployment, integration, and system optimization.
• Strong understanding of business automation and technology-enabled process improvement.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and technology/project stakeholders.
• Experience in monitoring project timelines, deliverables, resources, quality, and risks.
