Job Title: Head of construction

Location: Bangalore

Department: Construction/Projects

Reports To: CEO/Managing Director

Job Summary:

The Construction Head is responsible for overseeing all construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement construction strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize project execution.

· Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion.

· Lead and mentor construction teams, including project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.

· Collaborate with architects, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to streamline operations.

· Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.

· Identify and mitigate potential project risks, delays, and cost overruns.

· Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

· Drive the adoption of new construction technologies and sustainable practices.

· Prepare and present project reports, financial statements, and forecasts to senior management.

· Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

· 20+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

.Should have completed at least 300+ units

· Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in project management software and construction-related tools.

· Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and contract management.

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in large-scale projects.

Work Environment & Conditions:

· Frequent site visits.

· Travel required based on project locations.
