About this role
We are looking for a Growth Product Manager who owns the full user journey: getting the right users in and keeping them coming back. You will be one of the most important hires we make this year — a core driver of how fast Aitainment scales. This is a hands-on, metrics-owning role. You will not just write product specs; you will own acquisition and retention numbers and move them week over week.
Our ideal candidate comes from a short-video or consumer-tech company and has already solved acquisition and retention at real scale. If you've worked on a product people open every day — a short-video, streaming, social, gaming, or consumer app — you'll feel right at home.
The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
Acquisition:
- Own the top of the funnel: installs, signups, and cost per acquisition across channels.
- Design and run growth experiments — onboarding, referrals, viral loops, and app store optimisation.
- Work closely with marketing and creative teams on what actually converts. We live and breathe short video.
- Improve the install-to-paid journey so more free users become 699 subscribers.
Retention:
- Own D1, D7, and D30 retention — and the habit loops that drive them.
- Build the hooks that bring users back daily: notifications, streaks, personalised content, and re-engagement.
- Reduce churn and lift repeat usage and renewal rates.
- Turn one-time watchers into long-term, paying, engaged aspirants.
Requirements:
- 2+ years as a Product Manager in consumer tech, with a clear growth or retention focus.
- A track record of moving real numbers — you can point to funnels you improved and retention curves you bent upward.
- Short-video instincts — you understand why people watch, scroll, return, and what makes content habit-forming.
- Deep comfort with data — Mixpanel / Amplitude, cohort analysis, and A/B testing. You argue with evidence, not opinions.
- A builder's bias — you ship fast, learn faster, and are happy in a lean startup where you own outcomes end to end.
- Strong product sense and the ability to work hand-in-hand with design, content, and engineering.
Bonus Points:
- You've worked on a subscription or freemium consumer product.
- You understand the Indian consumer — Tier 2/3, vernacular, price-sensitive, and mobile-first.
- You have a soft spot for education or EdTech, or have been an aspirant yourself.
- You've played with AI tools and are excited about AI-generated content.
- You've owned growth loops that worked without heavy ad spend.
