    About this role

Company Description Earthonomic Engineers focuses on developing sustainable, high-performance environments for homes, institutions, offices, and industrial facilities. The organization promotes sustainable living solutions that enhance energy efficiency, building performance, and long-term economic value. Earthonomic Engineers challenges the perception that environmental responsibility only increases cost, demonstrating how lean and green strategies can reduce expenses and generate revenue. By partnering closely with architects and consultants, the team improves building design, optimizes material selection, and supports ROI-centric sustainability outcomes. The company is committed to advancing practical, impactful green building practices that benefit both people and the planet.

Role Description The Green Building Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position involves analyzing building designs for energy performance, sustainability, and cost optimization, and preparing technical reports and recommendations. The analyst collaborates with architects, consultants, and project teams to evaluate materials, building systems, and design strategies against green building standards. Daily responsibilities include conducting energy and environmental simulations, reviewing construction documents, supporting certification processes (such as LEED, IGBC, or equivalent), and tracking project sustainability metrics. The role also includes assisting in client presentations, documenting best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of Earthonomic Engineers lean and green methodologies.

    Qualifications

    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills for building performance assessments, energy modeling, and cost-benefit analysis.
    • Knowledge of green building standards and rating systems (e.g., LEED, IGBC, GRIHA) and familiarity with sustainability frameworks and regulations.
    • Experience with building performance and design tools (e.g., energy simulation software, BIM tools, or related analysis platforms).
    • Understanding of architecture, building materials, HVAC and MEP systems, and integrated design principles for high-performance buildings.
    • Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, reports, and presentations, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Collaborative working style with the ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients on multidisciplinary projects.
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, architecture, environmental science, or a related discipline; relevant certifications in sustainability or green building are an advantage.
    • Interest in sustainable development, lifecycle thinking, and ROI-focused environmental solutions; prior experience in building sustainability projects is beneficial.
