Government Sales Manager

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager / Business Development Manager –

Government Sales to drive business growth across Central Government, State Government,

PSUs, NICSI, GeM, RailTel, and other public sector organizations. The ideal candidate should

have strong expertise in government IT sales, tender management, strategic account

development, and end-to-end business acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new business opportunities across Government Ministries, State Departments, PSUs,

Smart Cities, Education, Healthcare, and Defence sectors.

• Build and manage relationships with senior government officials, procurement teams, CIOs,

and key stakeholders.

• Identify, qualify, and manage the complete sales lifecycle—from lead generation to contract

closure.

• Handle GeM, CPPP, NICSI, RailTel, and State e-Tender opportunities, including RFPs, pre-bid

meetings, commercial proposals, and negotiations.

• Coordinate with Presales, Delivery, Finance, and Legal teams for successful bid submissions

and project execution.

• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and achieve quarterly & annual revenue targets.
• Track government budgets, upcoming tenders, and digital transformation initiatives to

identify new opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–12 years of experience in Government IT Sales / Business Development.
• Proven experience in winning Government & PSU projects.
• Strong knowledge of GeM, CPPP, NICSI, RailTel, State e-Procurement, and public

procurement processes.

• Experience selling Cloud Services (AWS/Azure), Cyber Security, Application & Portal
• Development, Managed Services, or Digital Infrastructure Solutions.
• Excellent proposal writing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or Business.
• MBA will be an added advantage.
