Google Cloud DevOps Engineer (GCP & Kubernetes)

We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, Kubernetes (GKE), CI/CD, Jenkins, and Cloud Automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions while supporting automation, platform engineering, and DevOps transformation initiatives.

The role requires hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud-native deployments, CI/CD pipeline implementation, container orchestration, and cloud operations within enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Support platform modernization and cloud adoption initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to cloud architecture and operational best practices.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Design and implement enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
  
• Utilize tools such as:
  
• Jenkins
• GitHub
• SonarQube
• Improve deployment efficiency and release quality through automation.
  
• Support DevOps transformation and continuous delivery initiatives.
  

Kubernetes & Container Platforms

• Deploy and manage workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Build scalable and resilient containerized environments.
• Support Kubernetes administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Monitor cluster health and optimize infrastructure usage.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Develop reusable Terraform modules and templates.
• Implement infrastructure provisioning and configuration automation.
• Support policy-driven infrastructure deployments.
• Participate in infrastructure governance and standardization efforts.

Application & Platform Support

• Collaborate with development teams supporting Java microservices applications.
• Support troubleshooting and performance optimization activities.
• Ensure platform stability, reliability, and security.
• Assist in implementing monitoring and alerting solutions.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Work closely with Architects, Developers, Product Owners, and Operations teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Contribute to technical design reviews and platform strategy discussions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.

Required Skills

• 6-9 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
