Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Manager role based in Gorakhpur. The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, including supervising staff, managing branch performance, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements related to foreign exchange. Responsibilities include developing and implementing business strategies, monitoring financial metrics, and optimizing processes to improve service quality and profitability. The role will involve building and maintaining client relationships, resolving escalated issues, and coordinating with external partners and regulatory bodies as needed. The General Manager will also be accountable for reporting to senior leadership, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

• Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate staff.
• Operational management and organizational skills, including experience in overseeing daily branch or business operations.
• Financial acumen, including basic knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and performance analysis in a services or financial environment.
• Customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to handle escalations and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Understanding of foreign exchange or financial services, including regulatory and compliance considerations (experience in forex or banking is preferred).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in written and verbal English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Gorakhpur, manage multiple priorities, and make data-informed decisions under time constraints.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are an added benefit.
