Hiring: General Counsel | Legal Leadership

We are looking to connect with experienced legal leaders for a General Counsel role with a leading organisation.

The role will be responsible for providing strategic legal leadership across legal risk, regulatory compliance, litigation, governance and strategic business initiatives, while safeguarding the organization's interests and enabling business continuity.

Location: Rajasthan

Experience: 10 - 20 years

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the organization's legal risk and compliance agenda, ensuring strong governance and regulatory adherence

- Oversee high-value and complex litigation, including Government of India matters, arbitration and other significant disputes

- Develop litigation strategies focused on protecting enterprise value and minimizing financial exposure

- Advise senior leadership on legal matters impacting business decisions, governance and risk

- Drive effective management of external counsel, legal budgets and overall legal spend

- Lead legal digitization and process automation, including contract/NFA and litigation tracking processes

- Oversee legal and ethics training initiatives, including POSH and code of business ethics/compliance programmes

- Provide legal support for strategic transactions, restructuring and demerger-related activities

- Partner with the Board, Audit Committee and senior leadership on governance and critical legal matters

Ideal Profile:

- Senior legal professional with significant experience in complex litigation, regulatory matters and corporate legal advisory

- Strong experience managing high-stakes disputes and working with government/regulatory authorities

- Demonstrated ability to advise senior leadership and manage critical legal and business risks

- Experience in legal operations, external counsel management and legal cost optimization

- Exposure to restructuring, demergers or other strategic transactions would be valuable

- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
