Functional Planner - New Product Development

Role Overview:

Partner with the CTO to translate the technology vision into executable plans, governance mechanisms and measurable outcomes. The role will integrate strategic planning, portfolio tracking, budget coordination and leadership reporting across technology and product-development priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end program management for new product initiatives, ensuring alignment between technical milestones and corporate strategic goals.

- Manage comprehensive project budgets, tracking expenditures against forecasts to ensure financial efficiency throughout the development cycle.

- Facilitate rigorous stakeholder management by providing regular updates to senior leadership on project health, risks, and mitigation strategies.

- Utilize advanced analytics to monitor product development KPIs, identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements to accelerate time-to-market.

- Coordinate cross-functional workflows to ensure that design, procurement, and manufacturing teams remain synchronized with the overarching product roadmap.

- Drive the implementation of standardized project management frameworks to enhance operational transparency and accountability across the NPD division.

Required Skillset:

- Possess 8 - 10 years of professional experience in product development or program management within the automotive or manufacturing sector.

- Demonstrate a strong command of corporate strategy, with the ability to translate high-level business goals into granular operational plans.

- Exhibit proficiency in financial planning and budgeting, with a proven track record of managing large-scale project capital and operational expenses.

- Leverage data-driven decision-making skills, using analytics to solve complex problems and optimize project performance.

- Display exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate matrixed organizational structures and influence stakeholders at various levels of seniority.

- Hold a degree in Engineering or Management from a premier institute, with a clear understanding of the product development lifecycle.

- Maintain a high level of adaptability and readiness to work on-site in Hosur, engaging directly with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive project success.
