About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware using Embedded C.
- Selection of controller/DSP for power electronics applications and as per product requirement.
- Developing control code in C programming for embedded controllers like TI, Microchip, ST etc. for power electronics and motor control application, Motor protections.
- HMI coding for parameter navigations and settings.
- Develop generic coding libraries which can be reused horizontally across projects.
- Communication protocol, UART, ModBus, TCP/IP, I2C, SPI.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle: software specifications / requirements confirmation, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and systems engineering.
- Debug and optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and safety.
- Document design specifications, code, and test procedures.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
- Proficiency in Embedded C programming.
- Solid understanding of the embedded development life cycle and best practices.
- Experience with debugging tools, oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Good to Have
- Experience with Motor control algorithm (v/f, vector control, sensor less -IM, PMSM), PWM techniques, Inverter, DC-DC converter, Battery charging algorithms, MPPT algorithms for solar inverters/drives
- Knowhow of MATLAB - Simulink
- Cybersecurity features like firmware authentication, bootloader
