Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially driven Financial Controller to manage finance operations for Product Development and Manufacturing functions in the EV Commercial Vehicle business. The role will support development and production of Electric Buses and E-Tippers through strong financial planning, project costing, budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial control.

The candidate should possess strong exposure to manufacturing finance, product costing, R&D finance, CAPEX management, and project-based financial analysis in automotive, EV, or heavy engineering industries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Product Development Finance, Plant Finance, and Commercial Finance activities for EV Bus and E-Tipper programs.

- Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and profitability analysis for new product development projects.

- Monitor and control R&D expenditure, prototype costing, localization cost, tooling cost, and engineering development budgets.

- Prepare detailed MIS reports, variance analysis, project financial dashboards, and management presentations.

- Manage BOM costing, standard costing, inventory valuation, material cost analysis, and manufacturing overhead control.

- Support cross-functional teams including Engineering, SCM, Production, Program Management, and Procurement for financial decision-making.

- Evaluate CAPEX proposals, investment planning, and cost optimization initiatives for EV manufacturing operations.

- Ensure compliance with IND-AS, GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, Internal Financial Controls, and Audit requirements.

- Handle working capital management, cash flow monitoring, fixed asset accounting, and statutory reporting.

- Coordinate with internal auditors, statutory auditors, bankers, and regulatory authorities.

- Implement robust ERP/SAP-based finance controls and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in Manufacturing Finance, Plant Accounting, and Product Development Finance

- Experience in EV, Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, Heavy Engineering, or Industrial Manufacturing sectors

- Sound knowledge of BOM Costing, Standard Costing, Project Costing, and Variance Analysis

- Expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cost Control

- Knowledge of CAPEX Management, Inventory Accounting, and Working Capital Optimization

- Strong understanding of GST, Taxation, Audit, IND-AS, and Statutory Compliance

- Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems, Advanced Excel, and Financial MIS Reporting

- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities

Qualification:

- CA or ICWA

- Additional exposure to Automotive Product Development Finance will be an advantage

Preferred Industry Background:

Candidates from EV Manufacturing, Commercial Vehicles, Automotive OEMs, and Bus Manufacturing.
