About this role
Job Title: Finance Controller
Experience Required: 8 to 10 Years
Location: Bangalore
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our finance team in a controllership role. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting, with hands-on experience in month-end close, general ledger management, and internal controls. This position will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial records, compliance with regulations, and support for business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of the general ledger
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS/IFRS/GAAP)
- Assist in audits (internal, statutory, and tax) and liaise with external auditors
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls and accounting policies
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely and accurate financial reporting
- Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, plus Qualified CA (Mandatory)
- 8+ years of relevant experience post qualification in controllership, accounting, or financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
