Electrical Field Wiring Technician – SPM Manufacturing

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Field Wiring Technician to wire, test and commission Special Purpose Machines (SPMs). You will work from electrical drawings to connect control panels, sensors, motors and valves, and support machine trials at our shop and at customer sites.

Responsibilities

•        Read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and I/O lists

•        Carry out panel-to-machine wiring for motors, solenoid valves, sensors, limit switches, encoders and drives

•        Route, ferrule, lug and terminate cables neatly as per drawing

•        Perform continuity, insulation and earth tests before power-up

•        Support I/O checks, troubleshooting, dry runs and buyoff

•        Maintain wiring checklists and mark up as-built changes

•        Follow LOTO, earthing and electrical safety practices

Requirements

•        Hands-on knowledge of contactors, relays, MCBs, VFDs and servo drives

•        Familiarity with PNP/NPN sensors and 24 V DC and 3-phase circuits

•        Skilled with multimeter, megger and crimping tools

•        Basic PLC/HMI I/O knowledge is an advantage
