Director - Legal - LLB

Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned legal leader to join our Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bangalore as the Director-Legal. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the primary legal architect for our regional operations, bridging the gap between global corporate mandates and local execution. You will work closely with the global executive leadership team, regional business heads, and cross-functional stakeholders to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. By providing strategic counsel on legal risks and operational compliance, you will directly influence the company's growth trajectory, ensuring that our business expansion is both sustainable and legally robust across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate and execute comprehensive legal strategies that align with the company's global objectives to mitigate operational risks and support long-term business scalability.

- Oversee end-to-end contract management processes, ensuring that all commercial agreements are structured to protect the organization's interests while facilitating seamless business operations.

- Direct global compliance initiatives by implementing rigorous frameworks that adhere to international standards and local regulatory requirements, thereby safeguarding the company's reputation.

- Academic background in Law (LL.B. or LL.M.) from a premier institution, complemented by a track record of managing high-stakes litigation and corporate governance.

- High adaptability to a hybrid work environment in Bangalore, maintaining seamless communication and oversight across global time zones.

Leadership & Strategy:

- Establish and execute global Legal GBS strategy; evolve operating models; drive excellence and innovation.

Service Delivery & Process Excellence:

- Standardize, optimize, and automate non-core legal processes; implement governance frameworks and performance metrics.

Global Trade Operations:

- Lead GTGO projects, sanctions screening, and global trade policy governance.

Project Management Office:

- Govern legal portfolio, manage guidelines lifecycle, and track KPIs via dashboards.

Contract Management:

- Centralize templates/playbooks, oversee CLM repository, enable self-service contracting, and monitor compliance.

Paralegal & Patent Services:

- Lead paralegal and patent support teams, ensure quality standards, and maintain proper attorney support boundaries.

Talent & Culture:

- Build high-performing teams, design career pathways, champion India as a legal talent hub, and foster inclusive culture.
