Digitization and SOP Manager Finance

Role & responsibilities

• Finance SOP Authoring & Standardization: Collaborate with regional financial controllers and accounting teams to standardize end-to-end financial workflows (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Treasury, and Tax compliance).
• Digital SOP & Knowledge Base Integration: Transform static accounting manuals into digital, interactive workflows and visual process maps using modern Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
• Workflow Automation & System Alignment:
• Map financial routines tied directly to our core enterprise stackoptimizing processes across Sage and IBM Planning Analytics/Consolidation tools.
• Identify repetitive manual tasks (such as intercompany reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting schedules) to implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and automated workflow triggers.
• Month-End Close Optimization: Streamline month-end/quarter-end close checklists within our financial systems, converting static trackers into centralized digital dashboards to drastically reduce group close cycle times.
• Governance, Compliance & Audit Readiness: Ensure all digital SOPs maintain strict internal controls, comply with regional/international accounting standards, and maintain formal version control for audit preparation.
• Training & Change Management: Design interactive training modules and digital onboarding guides to ensure finance staff across regions correctly execute procedures within Sage and IBM tools.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
• Experience: 6+ years of experience in financial process documentation, accounting operations, audit/compliance, or finance transformation.
• Certifications (Preferred): CA, CPA, CMA, Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), CBPP, ISO Quality Auditor, or PMP.

Technical & Domain Expertise

• Enterprise & Financial Platforms (Core Requirement):
• Hands-on familiarity with the Sage platform for general ledger and accounting operations and handle migration processes.
• Direct experience or strong functional knowledge of IBM financial tools for Budgeting, Forecasting, and Consolidations (e.g., IBM Planning Analytics / Cognos TM1).
• Financial Workflows: Deep understanding of AP/AR, General Ledger, Intercompany Reconciliation, Expense Management, Payroll, and Financial Close processes.
• Knowledge Management & Tools: Experience with modern documentation tools
• Automation: Proficiency with low-code workflow platforms (e.g., Power Automate)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• SOP Digitization Rate: % of legacy finance procedures converted into interactive digital workflows mapped to Sage & IBM environments.
• Financial Close Speed: Reduction in overall days required to complete the monthly financial close across group entities.
• Audit Finding Reduction: % reduction in internal/external audit findings related to procedural deviations.
• Straight-Through Processing (STP) Rate: % of automated financial workflows executed without manual intervention.
