Devops Site Reliability Engineer

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Infrastructure, or Production Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Infrastructure and Azure DevOps.
• Strong experience in Linux administration and production system troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability tools.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, DNS, routing, NAT, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Experience in DNS management, domain management, subdomains, hosted zones, and DNS record configurations.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and configuration management.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong production incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance tuning experience.
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, failover, scalability, and system reliability.
• Experience with on-call support and production operations.

Cloud & Infrastructure:

• Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Storage.
• Terraform, ARM Templates, Infrastructure as Code.

DevOps & Automation:

• Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, Git, GitHub.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Configuration Management.

Monitoring & Observability:

• Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana.
• ELK Stack / Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana.
• Distributed Tracing and Centralized Logging.

Operating Systems:

• Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat).

DNS & Networking:

• Azure DNS, AWS Route 53, Cloudflare, Infoblox.
• NGINX, HAProxy, Envoy, F5, Load Balancers.
• DNS tools: dig, nslookup, host, whois.
• Network tools: tcpdump, Wireshark, traceroute, mtr, ping, iperf.
• Linux networking tools: ip, ss, ethtool, conntrack, nftables, iptables.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of CloudFormation.
• Exposure to DNSSEC and advanced DNS troubleshooting.
• Experience with network packet analysis using tcpdump and Wireshark.
• Knowledge of SLI, SLO, SLA, and error budget management.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and chaos engineering.
• Knowledge of cloud security and certificate lifecycle management.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
