Devops Engineer

Requirements

• University-level education in a technical field, such as computer science, electrical engineering, or telecommunications.
• 5 to 15 years of experience
• Develop efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and Continuous integration and Continuous delivery
• Good working knowledge in Linux Administration
• Good working knowledge in AWS / Azure / GCP
• Good in Shell Scripting
• Hands on experience in CI / CD tools to orchestrate products and solutions into cloud infrastructure
• Hands on experience in Configuration Management as code automation
• Hands on experience in cloud platforms and NFV based orchestration tools available in Telco clouds
• Hands on experience in Jenkins, Jenkins pipelines and other CI / CD tools
• Good Knowledge and experience in scripting & programming languages
• Experience in Agile, DevOps, and Continuous integration and Continuous delivery
• Good knowledge in Kubernetes and Docker
• Good at automation tools like Terraform or Ansible or Puppet
• Good Experience/Knowledge in tools like GIT, JIRA etc.
• Experience/Knowledge in Agile Methodology.
• Knowledge of SDLC
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Good learning aptitude and ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
• Self-starter & Good team player
• Good interpersonal skills and leadership qualities

Soft Skills / Interpersonal Level

• Candidate should have good listening skills and ability to work independently and in group. Need to collaborate with System Designers, Tech Leads and Manual testers and understand the objective of the requirement and effectively implements.
• Candidate should have big picture thinking to understand the complex E2E scenarios to develop the automation scripts.
• Should be easily approachable and helpful person and should play effective role in Devops environment.
• Should be an excellent communicator, who can communicate with people at all levels.

Good to have:

• Experience in video streaming / OTT technologies

Role & responsibilities

• Implements the requirements as per the guidelines provided in the system design.
• Makes sure that the developed implementation is the most preferred and appropriate approach.
• Supports the scrum testers for defining corresponding testcases to cover all aspects of implementation.
• Makes sure unit tests and component tests are well covered for every implementation.
• Participates in peer reviews.
• Interfaces with Tech Leads / Sys Designers to get the implementation correct/complete for a given requirement.
