Design Manager

Role Description The Design Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading interior design projects from concept to completion. This role oversees the design process for residential, office, and commercial spaces, with a strong focus on luxury modular kitchens and wardrobes. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing design teams, coordinating with clients to understand requirements, developing design concepts and layouts, and reviewing 3D visualizations and technical drawings. The Design Manager collaborates closely with procurement, project management, and installation teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. The role also involves maintaining design standards, mentoring designers, and ensuring each project reflects Metilli's principles of functional, elegant, and client-centered design.
Qualifications

• Strong interior design expertise, including space planning, modular kitchen and wardrobe design, and contemporary, minimalist aesthetics.
• Experience leading design teams and managing end-to-end project delivery for residential, office, or commercial interiors.
• Proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D rendering software) and understanding of technical drawings.
• Client-facing skills, including requirements gathering, concept presentation, and managing feedback to ensure satisfaction.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, vendors, and on-site installation teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and functionality.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; advanced certifications in interior design or project management are an advantage.
• Previous experience in luxury interiors or high-end residential projects in an on-site leadership role in Bengaluru or similar markets is preferred.
