Design Engineer - HVAC / PHE / Electrical

Key Responsibilities

For Intermediate Design Engineer HVAC | 3+ Years

• Prepare HVAC layouts, schematics, and design drawings.
• Perform cooling load, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
• Develop HVAC models and drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate HVAC designs with Electrical, PHE, Architectural, Structural, and BIM teams.
• Assist in resolving design clashes and coordination issues.
• Incorporate client/consultant comments and ensure timely delivery of assigned work.

For Senior Design Engineer – HVAC | 7+ Years

• Lead HVAC design and engineering activities for assigned projects.
• Review HVAC calculations, layouts, equipment selection, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and resolve technical/design issues.
• Review BIM models and ensure design coordination and quality.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Guide and mentor junior and intermediate engineers.
• Ensure project deliverables meet required quality and timelines.

For Principal Design Engineer – HVAC | 10+ Years

• Lead and manage HVAC design activities across major MEP projects.
• Provide technical leadership for HVAC systems from concept through detailed design.
• Review and approve design calculations, layouts, specifications, equipment selection, and technical deliverables.
• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination and resolve complex technical issues.
• Manage client and consultant coordination and participate in technical meetings.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to HVAC design teams.
• Support project planning, proposals, fee estimates, and business development activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE/GCC and international standards and project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant experience as per the position applied for:
• Intermediate: 3+ years
• Senior: 7+ years
• Principal: 10+ years
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building services design.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, CIBSE, SMACNA, NFPA, and relevant project standards.
• Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
• UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage, particularly for Senior and Principal positions.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
