Role Description The Design Drafter role at JK ENGINEERS TECHPRO is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Design Drafter will prepare and revise engineering and technical drawings for power, petrochemical, chemical, refinery, and oil & gas projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Daily responsibilities include developing detailed layouts and schematics, updating drawings based on engineering inputs, and coordinating with engineers and project teams to clarify specifications and resolve design issues. The role involves using CAD tools to create and modify drawings, maintaining drawing documentation and revision histories, and supporting the preparation of design packages and project deliverables. The Design Drafter will also assist in verifying drawing completeness, checking for alignment with client requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement of drafting practices.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and general Drawing for engineering applications.
• Candidates should possess skills in preparing and interpreting Engineering Drawings for industrial projects.
• Candidates should possess skills in creating and understanding Architectural Drawings where project requirements demand.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools used for 2D and 3D drafting.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, standards, and project documents.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in drafting, and strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Prior experience in power, petrochemical, chemical, refinery, or oil & gas projects is an advantage.
