Deputy Manager-Events

Job Summary

The Deputy Manager – Cultural Events will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing cultural events, university festivals, performances, competitions, and student engagement activities. The role involves team coordination, event execution, budget management, and ensuring the successful delivery of all cultural programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage cultural events, annual functions, festivals, concerts, and university celebrations.

- Develop event plans, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies.

- Coordinate with students, faculty, artists, performers, vendors, and external agencies.

- Supervise event coordinators and ensure smooth execution of activities.

- Manage stage setup, sound, lighting, decoration, rehearsals, and event logistics.

- Coordinate with marketing, public relations, media, and technical teams for event promotion and coverage.

- Identify and coordinate with artists, cultural groups, and entertainment agencies.

- Monitor event expenses, vendor payments, and resource utilization.

- Ensure compliance with university policies, safety standards, and event protocols.

- Encourage student participation in cultural activities and competitions.

- Prepare event reports, maintain records, and collect feedback for improvement.

- Handle on-site issues and ensure timely completion of all event activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Event Management, Performing Arts, Arts, Management, or a related field.
• 4years of relevant experience in cultural event management, preferably in a university or educational institution.
• Prior experience in team handling and managing large-scale events will be preferred.
