Department Manager - apparel

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
  
• Oversee floor management, ensuring visual merchandising standards are met and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  
• Supervise sales team members to achieve sales targets, provide coaching on customer service skills, and address performance issues.
  
• Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy of inventory records and implement effective shrinkage control measures.
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding loss prevention, safety protocols, and security procedures.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-4 years of experience in retail operations or related field (apparel industry preferred).
  
• Strong knowledge of retail operations principles, including inventory management, stock control, and visual merchandising.
  
• Excellent communication skills for effective supervision of sales teams and customer interactions.
  
• Ability to analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in store performance.
