About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement DB2 LUW database architectures for enterprise workloads.
- Set up and configure DB2 LUW on Azure (IaaS).
- Lead JDs from DB2 on AIX to DB2 LUW and Azure.
- Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization.
- Define backup, recovery, and high‑availability solutions (HADR).
- Ensure database security, compliance, and operational governance.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to support delivery.
Required Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience with IBM DB2 (AIX & LUW).
- Proven experience migrating DB2 from AIX → Linux (LUW) and/or cloud.
- Experience deploying and managing DB2 on Azure Virtual Machines.
- Skills in performance tuning, SQL optimization, and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of Azure services (VMs, Storage, Backup, ASR, Monitoring).
- Scripting experience (Shell, PowerShell, or Python).
