Data Security Admin

Summary
The Data Security Admin supports enterprise hardware asset operations by resolving inquiries and ServiceNow requests, investigating asset data issues, and maintaining accurate and complete records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The role involves working with asset owners, support teams, and IT partners to address data gaps, confirm ownership, and support consistent Hardware Asset Management (HAM) processes. This position is ideal for someone with foundational IT knowledge, strong analytical skills, and an interest in developing expertise in HAM, ServiceNow, and CMDB processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and resolve HAM inquiries, incidents, and service requests.
• Investigate asset data gaps and incomplete or inaccurate records.
• Coordinate with asset owners and support teams to correct asset information.
• Support asset data accuracy, completeness, and lifecycle integrity.
• Assist with identifying ownership for discovered assets and URLs.
• Perform routine data-quality reviews.
• Follow established HAM processes and governance requirements.
• Document findings, actions, and process information.
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members.
• Support testing, reporting, and process-improvement activities.
• Maintain team procedures and knowledge documentation.
• Collaborate with global and cross-functional IT teams.

• Foundational knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and support processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow documented processes and manage assigned work.
• Ability to collaborate with business and technical teams.
• Willingness to learn HAM, ServiceNow, and CMDB processes.

• Bachelor&rsquos degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

• Experience in IT support, asset management, or IT operations.
• Familiarity with HAM or IT Asset Management practices.
• Experience with ServiceNow or another IT service-management platform.
• Familiarity with CMDB concepts.
• Experience reviewing or reconciling data in Excel.
• Understanding of hardware asset lifecycle processes.
• Exposure to process documentation or system testing.
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts.
