We are hiring Data Engineer II for SmartIMS Client: Flipkart.

Key Technical Requirements

Big Data & Data Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with Scala/Python and Apache Spark/PySpark.
• Experience in Spark Batch & Streaming and distributed data processing.
• Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
• Experience designing and optimizing high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines.

Lakehouse & Data Architecture

• Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg / Hudi / Delta Lake.
• Understanding of Lakehouse architecture and Medallion Architecture — Bronze/Silver/Gold.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts such as Star Schema / Snowflake Schema.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong experience with GCP, particularly DataProc, GCS and BigQuery.
• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native deployments.

Data Quality & Observability

• Experience implementing data validation and automated testing.
• Exposure to tools such as Deequ / Great Expectations.
• Understanding of data lineage, pipeline monitoring, freshness and observability.

Additional Skills

• Experience with Airflow / Azkaban or other workflow orchestration tools.
• Exposure to CI/CD for data applications.
• Knowledge of real-time databases such as Druid, ClickHouse or HBase is a plus.
• Exposure to ML pipelines, feature engineering, GenAI or Agentic workflows will be highly preferred.
