Role Description The Customer Relationship Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South, responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with existing and prospective customers. In this role, the officer will interact with micro and small business owners, understand their financing needs, explain loan products, and guide them through the application, documentation, and approval processes. The position involves regular field visits, customer onboarding, account servicing, and follow-up to ensure timely repayments and customer satisfaction. The officer will maintain accurate records in internal systems, coordinate with credit, operations, and collections teams, and support resolution of customer queries or issues. The role also includes identifying new business opportunities in the local market, promoting Vistaar's products ethically, and contributing to portfolio quality and growth.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term client engagement.
• Sales and business development abilities, including prospecting, explaining financial products, and converting leads into successful loan applications.
• Basic financial understanding, including credit concepts, loan documentation, and repayment structures relevant to micro and small enterprises.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills in local languages and English, with clear verbal and written abilities.
• Organizational and field operations skills, including planning customer visits, maintaining records, and managing multiple accounts responsibly.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and basic computer applications for data entry, reporting, and customer follow-up.
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in any discipline; a background in finance, commerce, or business is an advantage.
• Prior experience in microfinance, NBFCs, banking, or field-based customer roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• High ethical standards, reliability, and a commitment to transparent and responsible lending practices.
