About us

Matchworkers International is a family-owned international recruitment and workforce consultancy, trading since 1999 and headquartered in Dubai. We connect skilled blue-collar, technical and hospitality workers from South Asia with employers across Europe. Greece is our core market, and have placed into Bulgaria, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Albania, the UK and the Netherlands.

We run the full cross-border process in-house: employer orders, sourcing through our partner agency network, verified technical screening, work permits and visas, and deployment.

The role

Our Delhi office is early-stage and growing fast. We are looking for a senior leader to build it into a high-performing operation that can support our plans to scale to thousands of placements a year.

This is a hands-on operating role, not an advisory one. The team is small, so you will do the work as well as direct it. You will report directly to the Founder & CEO.

What you'll own

• People: recruit, onboard, set KPIs for, appraise, manage and, where necessary, exit staff as you build the Delhi team
• Budget and P&L: own the India budget, including forecasting, cost control and vendor negotiation, and answer for the numbers
• Partnerships: grow and manage our network of recruitment agencies across India and Nepal, controlling quality as well as volume
• Commercial: support employer-side business development and partnership generation
• Delivery: make sure candidate volume, screening quality and conversion targets are met, and that the pipeline turns into deployments
• Compliance: keep all India activity fully compliant with Indian law, working with legal counsel and head office
• Reporting: report to management regularly and proactively, on progress, risks and bad news alike

What we're looking for

• 12+ years experience, including at least 5 in a senior management role
• Proven ownership of a budget or P&L, ideally with specific figures you can talk through
• Direct experience of hiring, managing and exiting staff
• A track record of building channel, agency or partnership networks
• Comfort working with numbers, funnels and conversion data
• Experience in a regulated industry, cross-border business, or building an office from scratch is a strong advantage
• Recruitment sector experience is welcome but not essential. We are open to strong operators from other industries.

This role is not for you if you prefer a purely strategic or advisory position, or would rather not be measured against targets.
