Role Description This full-time Cost Estimator role is a hybrid position based in Ahmedabad, with some flexibility for work from home. The Cost Estimator will analyze furniture designs, materials, and labor requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for new and existing projects. Daily responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, gathering pricing data from suppliers, preparing detailed cost breakdowns, and supporting budgeting for production and installation. The role involves monitoring actual costs against estimates, identifying variances, and suggesting cost-control measures. The Cost Estimator will collaborate with design, procurement, and production teams to support decision-making and ensure projects stay within budget and timeline constraints.
Qualifications

• Strong cost management and cost control skills, with the ability to track, analyze, and optimize project expenses.
• Proficient in project estimation and budgeting, including preparing detailed estimates and supporting financial planning for furniture projects.
• Well-developed analytical skills to interpret technical drawings, compare supplier quotes, and evaluate cost-saving alternatives.
• Comfort with spreadsheets, estimating tools, and basic financial calculations; experience with ERP or similar systems is beneficial.
• Relevant education in engineering, commerce, finance, quantity surveying, or a related field; professional certification in estimation or cost control is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing, construction, or related industries is preferred but not mandatory.
