Role Description The Consultant Surgeon will provide comprehensive surgical care to patients with conditions such as constipation, piles, hernia, and related colorectal and lifestyle diseases. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outpatient consultations, performing diagnostic evaluations, recommending treatment plans, and carrying out surgical and minimally invasive procedures in accordance with clinic protocols. The role also involves collaborating with anesthesiology, nursing, and support staff, overseeing pre- and post-operative care, maintaining accurate medical records, and adhering to clinical quality and safety standards. The Consultant Surgeon will participate in case discussions, continuous medical education, and quality improvement initiatives within the clinic. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS) with MS or DNB in General Surgery; additional specialization in colorectal or Proctology related surgery is an advantage.
• Valid medical registration and license to practice, with proven clinical experience in colorectal, hernia, and minimally invasive surgery.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills, including experience with advanced imaging and colorectal assessment techniques.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, with excellent communication skills and the ability to counsel patients and families sensitively.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, supervise junior medical staff, and collaborate closely with nursing and allied health professionals.
• Knowledge of clinical quality standards, infection control practices, and adherence to evidence-based treatment protocols.
• Comfort with electronic medical records and basic healthcare IT systems for documentation and reporting.
• Willingness to participate in continuous professional development, clinical audits, and community health awareness initiatives.
