About The Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced MBBS + MD Microbiologist to join a reputed healthcare organization in Amritsar. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing microbiology laboratory operations, ensuring accurate diagnostic testing, and supporting infection prevention and control initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• - Supervise and manage day-to-day microbiology laboratory operations.
• - Perform and interpret microbiological investigations and diagnostic tests.
• - Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of laboratory results.
• - Conduct culture and sensitivity testing and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
• - Support the hospital's Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) programs.
• - Monitor laboratory quality control and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• - Coordinate with clinicians and other departments regarding microbiological findings.
• - Maintain proper documentation, records, and laboratory protocols.
• - Guide and supervise laboratory technicians and support staff.
• - Stay updated with current microbiology practices, antimicrobial resistance, and diagnostic techniques.
  
  

Candidate Profile

• - MBBS with MD/DNB in Microbiology from a recognized institution.
• - Valid medical registration.
• - Strong knowledge of clinical microbiology and laboratory practices.
• - Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• - Experience in a hospital/diagnostic laboratory will be an advantage.
