Role Overview

Our customer, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer/ Commercial Negotiator for an initial 3-month contract, with strong potential for extension. This exciting geo-agnostic opportunity involves advising on, negotiating, and managing complex software, SaaS, and licensing agreements in a global technology environment. This hybrid role is based in India and is available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and manage complex software, SaaS, and licensing agreements.
• Advise on contractual risks and deliver practical commercial solutions for non-standard negotiations.
• Partner with senior business, technology, procurement, and legal stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
• Translate technical and operational requirements into effective contractual outcomes.
• Manage multiple contracting priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Support contract lifecycle activities, including risk assessment, compliance, and stakeholder coordination.
• Leverage legal technology and AI tools to enhance contract review and delivery efficiency.

About You

• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in commercial contracts, software licensing, or technology transactions.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating complex software, SaaS, and licensing agreements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage non-standard contract negotiations and commercial risks.
• Experience in fast-paced technology or software environments.
• Exposure to AI legal tools (e.g., Harvey, Legora).
• Legal and non-legal professionals are considered.
