Collection Officer

Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection Officer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the collections process, ensuring timely payments from clients, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Conducting regular follow-ups with clients to ensure timely payment of dues
• Maintaining accurate records of payments and outstanding balances
• Communicating with clients via phone, email, or in-person to resolve payment issues
• Preparing and sending out invoices and reminders for outstanding debts
• Collaborating with the finance team to reconcile accounts and prepare reports
• Negotiating payment plans with clients when necessary
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations regarding collections

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in collections, credit control, or related field
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle difficult conversations
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with accounting software and CRM tools
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
