Cnc Turning Operator

Role & responsibilities

• Operate CNC turning machines as per CNC programs and engineering drawings.
• Set up components, cutting tools, and fixtures as per setup instructions.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
• Perform turning, facing, boring, and other machining operations as required.
• Inspect components using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per drawing specifications.
• Monitor machining operations and report any abnormalities.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety procedures.
• Follow quality standards and production schedules.
• Maintain production and inspection records as required.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of CNC turning machine operations.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and precision machining.
• Basic knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, or precision component machining is preferred.
