Industrial Technical Diploma (Milling Machine Operation Specialization) 

Job purpose 

Program and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture mold components with high precision and quality in accordance with engineering drawings, models, and the production plan. 

Required Experience

Experience: 3 up to 8 years

 Develop machining programs and suitable toolpaths for mold components using the approved CAM software.

 Select the appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters, zero points, and work holding methods.

 Set up and calibrate the machine and workpiece before machining and verify that the program is safe and correct.

 Perform the required roughing, finishing, drilling, and milling operations on mold components  Inspect dimensions during and after machining using the appropriate measuring instruments.

 Monitor cutting-tool and machine condition, and reduce setup time, scrap, and rework.
