CNC Milling 3D Programmer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop CNC milling programs for 3-axis machines.
• Create 3D tool paths using Mastercam,NX, or equivalent CAM software.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T.
• Program precision aerospace and defence components as per customer requirements.
• Select suitable cutting tools, machining parameters, and machining strategies.
• Generate and verify CNC programs using G-code and M-code.
• Perform program simulation and collision detection before machining.
• Optimize machining cycles, tool paths, and production efficiency.
• Support machine operators during machine setup and first-piece machining.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per drawing specifications.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
