Responsibilities:

1. Planning and Design

• Prepare construction plans, drawings, and layouts.
• Review structural and architectural drawings.
• Calculate quantities, dimensions, and material requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.

2. Site Supervision

• Supervise daily construction activities at the site.
• Monitor the work of contractors, subcontractors, and laborers.
• Ensure construction follows approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers.

3. Quality Control

• Inspect construction materials and workmanship.
• Ensure concrete, steel, masonry, and other works meet quality standards.
• Arrange or monitor tests such as concrete slump tests and cube tests.
• Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are taken.

4. Quantity Estimation and Cost Control

• Prepare quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Estimate material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Monitor material consumption and project expenses.
• Help control wastage and keep the project within budget.

5. Safety Management

• Ensure workers follow site safety procedures.
• Identify potential hazards and report unsafe conditions.
• Check the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with safety officers to maintain a safe working environment.
