Civil 3D Modeller - Infrastructure

Job Summary

Civil 3D Modeller for Buro Happold's Infrastructure team in Bengaluru. Support the technical design of infrastructure projects, coordinating with other disciplines, and drive continuous improvement in deliverables through development of software and staff capabilities. The role involves production and management of drawings, BIM models, calculations, concept schematic sketches, and technical reports for Infrastructure Engineering Design on a diverse range of projects in India.

Responsibilities

• Project planning stage: understand design and drafting systems and standards and the design development process for the project.
• Preparation of basic site layouts, general arrangement drawings.
• Prepare detailed drawings: Create architectural/engineering designs and plans for various construction projects using CAD software.
• L-section of the pipelines, grading, cut and fill calculations, etc.
• Collaborate with teams: Work closely with engineers and construction teams to understand project requirements and ensure drawings meet project needs.
• Adhere to standards: Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant working experience.
• Extensive experience in AutoCAD and Civil3D is necessary.
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD (Latest Version) to prepare 2d/3d drawings including all type of Layouts/Cross sections/L sections for Pipelines.
• Knowledge of Revit/ InfraWorks and GIS softwares such as QGIS will be added advantage.
• Knowledge of latest CAD Standards for utilities with attention to detailing.
• Experience in working in BIM environment.
• Good understanding of wet utilities.
• Aware of the standards, best practices.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Should be able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal skills.
