About this role
Chief of Staff to the Founder & CEO
Founder's Office - Robokidz Eduventures Limited - Listed on BSE SME
Location: Pune (on-site + travel) | Type: Full-time | Experience: 5 - 8 years | Reports to: Founder & CEO
Industry: K-12 STEM, Robotics & AI Education | Team: Founder's Office - high-trust, high-ownership
About Robokidz:
Robokidz Eduventures Limited is a Pune-based K-12 STEM, Robotics and AI education company, listed on the SME Platform of BSE Limited since September 2026. Since 2014, Robokidz has set up Atal Tinkering Labs and STEM labs in 2,500+ schools and reached over 15 lakh students across India - backed by its own BIS-certified robotics kits, curriculum and teacher training, the Drag-on.ai AI & Coding platform, and Young Engineers' Academy (YEA!) centres run by its wholly owned subsidiary, Robokidz Retails Pvt. Ltd.
About the Role:
As a newly listed company scaling across schools, government programmes, retail centres and new markets, Robokidz needs its Founder focused on the decisions only he can make. The Chief of Staff will be his strategic partner and force-multiplier: running the company's operating rhythm, driving the Founder's top priorities to completion across functions, and acting as his trusted voice with the leadership team, board and key stakeholders.
This is a high-trust, high-visibility role for a builder with a founder mindset. You think like an owner, work across every function, and are equally comfortable building a board presentation in the morning and resolving an operational bottleneck in the afternoon.
AI proficiency is non-negotiable. We want an AI-first Chief of Staff who already uses the latest AI tools every day to research, analyse, draft and automate, and who will lead AI adoption across the company. Applications without a practical AI use case will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Founder's Priorities:
- Translate the Founder's vision into a clear annual and quarterly plan, with measurable goals for each function
- Own the Founder's top-priorities list and drive each initiative to completion, with regular progress reporting
- Lead strategic projects end to end - new business lines, strategic partnerships, and market expansion
- Prepare analysis, business cases and recommendations that help the Founder make faster, better decisions
- Act as a sounding board: bring an independent point of view and challenge the Founder's thinking where needed
2. Operating Rhythm & Execution:
- Design and run the management cadence - weekly leadership review, monthly business review, and quarterly planning
- Build a single MIS dashboard covering sales, order book, collections, project execution and cash
- Track decisions and action items from leadership meetings and hold owners accountable to closure
- Identify bottlenecks across functions - projects, sales, accounts, operations and YEA centres - and unblock them, escalating to the Founder only when needed
- Represent the Founder in internal meetings and with external stakeholders when he cannot attend
3. Listed-Company, Board & Investor Management:
- Own the board and investor calendar with the Company Secretary and Accounts - board and committee meetings, AGM, and results timelines
- Prepare board presentations, investor updates, and material for analyst and investor meetings
- Coordinate with merchant bankers, auditors, lenders and advisors on the Founder's behalf
- Ensure the Founder walks into every board, investor, banker and government meeting fully briefed
4. People, Organisation & Culture:
- Work with HR to build a transparent performance-review and promotion framework, so people decisions follow a clear, fair process
- Support hiring and onboarding for leadership and other key roles
- Drive the Founder's internal communication - town halls, leadership notes and policy announcements
- Act as a trusted, neutral bridge between the Founder and the leadership team
5. AI-First Productivity & Systems:
- AI for decisions: Use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot (or equivalent) daily for research, analysis, drafting and decision support
- Workflows & automation: Build custom AI assistants (Custom GPTs, Claude Projects, Gemini Gems) and automations (Zapier, Make, Zoho Flow) for the Founder's Office and leadership team
- Company-wide adoption: Identify high-impact AI use cases across functions, pilot them, and measure the time and cost saved
- Systems: Strengthen business systems (Zoho and related tools) so management data flows from one source of truth
- Data safety: Fact-check all AI output and enforce company policy on what may be shared with AI tools, especially price-sensitive information
6. Founder's Time & Confidentiality:
- Manage the Founder's priorities and time allocation, working with the office administration team on calendar, travel and logistics
- Handle unpublished price-sensitive information (UPSI) with complete discretion, in line with the Company's Code of Conduct under the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015
What Success Looks Like:
First 90 days:
- A one-page Chief of Staff mandate agreed with the Founder and announced to the leadership team
- Weekly leadership review and monthly MIS running, with one dashboard the Founder trusts
- Each of the Founder's top five priorities has an owner, a plan and a deadline, with visible progress
- The year's board and investor calendar is mapped, with material prepared well ahead of each date
- At least three high-impact AI workflows live in the Founder's Office
First 12 months:
- The Founder spends measurably less time on operational follow-up and more on strategy, investors and growth
- At least one major strategic initiative delivered end to end
- The performance-review and promotion framework is rolled out across the company
Who Should Apply:
- MBA / PGDM from a reputed institute, or a Chartered Accountant; an engineering background is a plus
- 5 - 8 years' experience, including 2+ years in management consulting, investment banking / private equity, a Founder's Office or Chief of Staff role, or strategy at a high-growth company
- Exposure to listed companies, capital markets or board-level work is strongly preferred
- Strong financial acumen - comfortable with P&L, cash flow, working capital and business cases
- Advanced, hands-on user of the latest AI tools - able to show real work done with them, not just awareness
- Excellent structured thinking, writing and presentation skills; fluent English and Hindi (Marathi an advantage)
- Proven ability to influence senior people without formal authority
- High integrity, discretion and maturity with confidential matters
- Valid passport; comfortable with domestic and international travel
- Education-sector experience is a plus, not a requirement
Selection Process:
- Step 1 - Screening of CV and application note
- Step 2 - Case assignment: using AI tools of your choice, analyse a business problem from a set of company documents and recommend a course of action (short deck plus one-page memo)
- Step 3 - Case presentation to the Founder & CEO, followed by leadership interactions and reference checks
What We Offer:
- Direct partnership with the Founder & CEO of a newly listed company, with exposure to the board, investors, bankers and government stakeholders
- Real ownership: lead strategic initiatives end to end, not just coordinate them
- Competitive compensation with a performance-linked component
How to Apply:
Send your CV with a short note (max. 200 words) covering (a) a strategic initiative you led end to end and its outcome, and (b) one practical example of AI in your work - what you built or automated, which tools you used, and the impact.
