Chief Financial Officer

1. Position Details

• Position : Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

• Location : Baramati , Maharashtra

2. Job Purpose

To lead the Finance & Accounts function and ensure strong financial control, accurate reporting, statutory compliance, effective cash-flow and working-capital management, cost optimization and profitability improvement.

The CFO will act as a strategic financial advisor to Management and support business growth and key decision-making through timely financial analysis and MIS.

3. Key Responsibilities

A. Financial Planning & Strategy

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and business plans.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for business decisions.
• Evaluate major CAPEX, projects and investments.

B. Finance, Accounting & Controls

• Ensure accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting.
• Strengthen financial controls, systems and processes.
• Monitor receivables, payables, inventory and working capital.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual closing.

C. Costing & Profitability

• Monitor product-wise and plant-wise costing and profitability.
• Control major costs including raw material, power, manpower and logistics.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction and productivity initiatives.
• Support Management in pricing and profitability decisions.

D. Cash Flow & Banking

• Plan and monitor cash flow and liquidity.
• Manage banking relationships, working-capital limits and finance facilities.
• Optimize interest and finance costs.

E. MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare timely and accurate financial MIS for Management.
• Monitor revenue, profitability, working capital, receivables, inventory and budget variance.

F. Taxation, Audit & Compliance

• Ensure timely compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS and other applicable laws.
• Coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations.

· Establish robust financial governance, authorization matrices and controls to prevent fraud, leakage, unauthorized expenditure and financial misreporting.

G. Team Leadership & Business Partnering

• Lead and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
• Set KRAs/KPIs and improve team capabilities.
• Drive automation, process improvement and financial discipline.

4. Key KPIs

• Timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Effective budgetary and cost control.
• Improvement in profitability.
• Reduction in receivable days and overdue outstanding.
• Improved working-capital and cash-flow management.
• Timely statutory and tax compliance.
• Timely closure of audit observations.
• Optimization of finance and interest costs.
• Implementation of cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives.
• Improvement in MIS and financial automation.

5. Qualification

• CA (Chartered Accountant) – Mandatory
• Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, costing and financial management.

6. Experience

• 15–20 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Senior-level experience as CFO / Finance Head / VP Finance / GM Finance or equivalent.
• Manufacturing / agro-based / FMCG / food / feed / industrial experience preferred.
• Experience in multi-location manufacturing operations will be an advantage.
