CDE Expert

About the Role

We are looking for a CDE Expert to lead the implementation, configuration, adoption, and optimisation of Common Data Environment (CDE) solutions for construction and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong knowledge of CDE platforms, BIM workflows, document management, information standards, and construction processes, along with strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and configuration of CDE platforms for construction projects.
• Configure project workflows, permissions, document structures, metadata, and approval processes.
• Establish and manage document control, revision control, naming conventions, and information-management standards.
• Support BIM workflows and implementation of project information requirements.
• Work with clients, contractors, consultants, BIM teams, and project managers to understand requirements and deliver effective CDE solutions.
• Conduct user onboarding, training, workshops, and provide ongoing CDE support.
• Monitor CDE adoption, workflow performance, data quality, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot CDE-related issues and coordinate with internal technology/product teams where required.
• Prepare SOPs, user guides, process documentation, and project reports.
• Identify opportunities for workflow automation, process improvement, and digital transformation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, BIM, or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in CDE, BIM, document control, information management, or construction technology.
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, Aconex, ProjectWise, Trimble Connect, Procore, Dalux, or similar CDE platforms.
• Good understanding of BIM processes, document management, workflows, permissions, and revision control.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and information-management principles is preferred.
• Strong client-facing, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct training and workshops for project stakeholders.

Preferred

• BIM/CDE/ISO 19650 certification.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or real-estate projects.

• Experience with integrations, data migration, or automation would be an advantage.
