In this distinctive position, you'll oversee cash application processing for assigned regions, including cash posting, remittance matching, and clearing unapplied cash. What You'll Do
- Manage cash application processing for supported regions, including cash posting, lockbox/bank file review, remittance matching, unapplied cash clearing, and short-pay identification.
- Supervise cash application queues, ensure SLA adherence, conduct quality checks, and manage aging of unapplied cash across Americas and APAC support.
- Develop standardized SOPs, controls, handoffs, and critical issue paths between India Cash Application, regional collections teams, billing, and AR Resolution.
- Collaborate with Regional Managers on collections, allocations/cash application dependencies, and coordinate with the India Hub Manager for capacity planning.
- Identify posting issues, remittance gaps, deduction indicators, and unresolved items requiring handoff to collections or AR Resolution teams.
- Use authorized AI-powered tools and workflow automation to detect unmatched receipts, duplicate payments, missing remittance, unapplied cash trends, and exception patterns.
- Support automation of cash application dashboards, SLA reporting, queue prioritization, and quality checks while maintaining appropriate review controls.
- Partner with the India Hub Manager and regional AR leaders to discover automation opportunities that lower manual matching, boost posting accuracy, and hasten unapplied cash resolution.
- Experience in accounts receivable cash application, cash allocation, remittance processing, unapplied cash management, or order-to-cash shared services.
- Strong understanding of AR subledger, payment matching, lockbox/bank files, customer remittance, deductions/short-pays, and reconciliation dependencies.
- Proven experience leading daily workflow, training others, monitoring SLAs, and improving process quality in a shared-services or global delivery environment.
- Strong capability to detect challenges and formulate approaches to advance cash application workflows.
- Ambitious approach with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with regional managers and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in using AI and automation tools for process improvement.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
