Position: Senior Payment Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payment Business Analyst with strong expertise in ISO 20022 messaging standards, payment products, and payment modernization programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working on payment transformation initiatives, gathering business requirements, and collaborating with business and technology teams to deliver modern payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

● Analyze and document business requirements for payment modernization and transformation initiatives.

● Demonstrate strong knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards, including payment message structures and workflows.

● Work with payment systems, products, and processes across domestic and international payment environments.

● Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

● Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.

● Support payment migration, system integration, and legacy payment modernization initiatives.

● Conduct gap analysis between existing payment systems and target-state solutions.

● Support end-to-end payment processing, testing, validation, and implementation activities.

● Ensure payment solutions align with relevant banking regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.

● Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

● Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking, financial services, or payments.

● Strong hands-on knowledge of ISO 20022 payment messages and standards.

● Experience working on payment modernization programs.

● Good understanding of payment products, payment processing workflows, and banking operations.

● Experience in business requirements documentation, functional specifications, and process mapping.

● Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

● Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence is preferred.

Preferred Skills

● Experience with payment transformation, migration, and ISO 20022 implementation projects.

● Knowledge of SWIFT messaging and relevant payment message types, such as pacs, pain, and camt.

● Understanding of domestic and cross-border payments.

● Familiarity with payment clearing and settlement systems.

● Experience supporting functional testing, UAT, defect resolution, and implementation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A senior-level Payment Business Analyst with at least 7 years of relevant experience, strong ISO 20022 messaging knowledge, an understanding of payment products, and practical experience delivering payment modernization initiatives.
