Business Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements through discussions with clients Finance, Tax, IT, and ERP teams.
• Analyse invoicing processes and identify gaps against applicable e-invoicing requirements.
• Prepare business requirements documents, functional specifications, process flows, and ERP-to-e-invoicing field mappings.
• Understand REST APIs, authentication methods, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON/XML payload structures.
• Use tools such as Postman to test APIs, validate requests and responses, and support integration troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with technical teams to define API mappings, validation rules, error handling, and status updates between systems.
• Review invoice and credit note data to identify missing fields, mapping issues, and calculation discrepancies.
• Prepare test cases covering business scenarios, coordinate UAT, track defects, and verify resolutions.
• Support client onboarding, user training, go-live readiness, and post-implementation support.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, action trackers, and requirement change logs.
• Communicate progress, dependencies, and issues clearly to clients and internal teams.

Required Skills

• Experience in business analysis, ERP implementation, or financial systems integration.
• Practical knowledge of API testing using Postman and working with JSON/XML.
• Understanding of invoicing, credit notes, VAT, and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Familiarity with SQL, ERP systems, Peppol, or UAE e-invoicing requirements is an advantage.
